RRB NTPC Exam Pattern

The RRB NTPC exam is conducted in three stages:

  1. Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT 1)
  2. Stage 2: Computer-Based Test (CBT 2)
  3. Stage 3: Skill Tests (Typing Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test)
    For some posts, a medical test and document verification will follow.

CBT 1 Exam Pattern:

This stage is the qualifying exam, and its marks are not counted in the final merit list.

Stage 3: Skill Tests

There are two types of skill tests depending on the post you have applied for:

  • Typing Skill Test (TST): For posts like Junior Clerk, Senior Clerk, Accounts Clerk, etc. Candidates must have a typing speed of:
    • 30 words per minute (wpm) in English.
    • 25 words per minute (wpm) in Hindi.
  • Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): For posts like Traffic Assistant and Station Master. This test evaluates candidates on multi-tasking, attention, and reasoning.
